An entry fee of .25 per entry will be charged. Exhibitor's ticket is $8.00. Entries accepted 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 1st. Release date will be Monday, September 5th  5:00 - 7:00 pm. Alternate date time is Wednesday, September 7th  6:00 - 7:00 pm. All entries in this department are subject to the Fair Rules, Judging Schedule, and Entry/Release Schedule in the front of this premium book with additional rules herein stated. All exhibitors must be non-professionals. Professionals are defined as those who consistently accept payment for their services. Professionals will be disqualified. All baked goods must be done from scratch. NO MIXES ARE PERMITTED. All frozen food must be thawed before judging, no foods still frozen will be judged. If any article is not worthy, it will be disqualified by the judge and comments will be wrote on entry tag. Baked goods must be entered ready to exhibit. USE PLAIN WHITE PAPER/STYROFOAM PLATES (use appropriate size for entry) and cover with CLEAR plastic baggies. No entries will be covered with plastic or put on a plate by the fair workers. Best of Show plaques will be given to the exhibitors whose entries are judged best or most outstanding in Baking categories 1970 - 1993, 2000 - 2026. The exhibitor who wins the largest total amount of prize money in Baking and Canning will win the Grand Champion Cook award. An exhibitor must have prize winning entries in both baking and canning categories to qualify for Grand Champion Cook. This award can be won only 2 consecutive years by the same person.
